Join Us for the 2025 Mission Investing Institute
   

As Mission Investors Exchange (MIE)’s signature introductory learning program, our Mission Investing Institute is designed to help philanthropy professionals get started in impact investing or advance their practice.

The Institute will take place from May 5-7 at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs in Atlanta. It will also include an introductory session taking place virtually on April 29 and an optional visit to an impact investment site in Atlanta on May 5. Institute sessions will provide philanthropy professionals with best practices to develop the strategy and capacity for an effective mission-aligned investing program. Participants should expect an action-oriented, interactive learning environment, with space to workshop organizational solutions, apply learnings, and network with fellow philanthropy and finance practitioners.

Capital for Climate: The Potential of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) for Impact Investments

Join MIE for a Virtual Learning Opportunity (VLO) where Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) recipients and their partners will discuss how investors can leverage this capital for impact. Speakers will discuss potential changes in the landscape of public funding with the new administration and how to continue leveraging GGRF and other public/private partnerships. This VLO will also explore how this funding is being used, and how impact investors can leverage and support this capital in their own communities. Speakers will dive into examples of capacity building investments that can help scaffold the infrastructure and ecosystem needed to deploy GGRF funding as well as examples of co-investment opportunities for foundations.

Gain exclusive insights from experienced IMM field builders and foundation practitioners as they showcase key examples of collaborative efforts to drive adoption of IMM.

This Deep Dive will explore the investment structure and terms; due diligence and underwriting; challenges, opportunities, and learnings; the importance of partnership within this deal; and much more. We welcome all MIE members to join this moderated conversation with The Kresge Foundation where we’ll uncover the details of this exciting deal.
