About the Role

The Impact Strategy team works with social enterprises, corporations, foundations, and impact investing f irms to measure, manage, and communicate their social and/or environmental impact. The Impact Measurement Manager will manage the execution of impact measurement and management (IMM) workstreams and projects at the Institute such as the development of IMM frameworks, impact theses, impact assessment tools, and annual impact reports. The Manager will interface directly with clients to ensure project milestones and deliverables are aligned with expectations and goals of projects. The Manager will be responsible for managing project teams consisting of associates and student interns and for mentoring other junior staff in their professional development. They will also be responsible for content generation, data analysis support, and research support. The Manager will be responsible for keeping projects running on time and within scope and ensuring the highest quality of project deliverables. You should have a strong interest in the role the private sector plays in creating positive social/environmental impact and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills. This role requires a bachelor's degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency. Strong project management skills with six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge in impact measurement and management, impact investing, impact evaluation, or social or environmental impact analysis in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Strong writing, presentation, and quantitative skills are required.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment.
  • 6 years of progressively more responsible management experience, including working with and leading teams.
  • Experience delivering written and oral presentations in client settings.
  • Demonstrated relationship management, critical thinking, analytical, quality business writing, and effective communication skills.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and function effectively on a highly motivated, innovative, and entrepreneurial team.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or related area.
  • 5+ years in a client services and management consulting environment.
  • Prior IMM experience at an impact investing organization or consulting firm
  • Background knowledge in impact measurement and management, impact investing, impact evaluation, or social or environmental impact analysis in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid working context.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Microsoft Office, or other productivity, design, and data tools.
  • Salt Lake City, Utah preferred.
