Opportunity Zones Webinar Recording: A Dispatch From the Field
Written into the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was one of the most significant new tax incentives in America, poised to shape investments in low income communities for the next decade: the Opportunity Zone (OZ) program. As the legislation evolves, leaders from foundations to CFDIs to local governments are working in real-time to realize the potential of OZs while identifying possible risks to communities.
On Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 3PM ET Mission Investors Exchange held our fall webinar, “Opportunity Zones: A Dispatch from the Field” to provide the latest updates on the Opportunity Zone legislation as well as an overview of the response within the impact investing community, which has been mobilizing quickly to put impact and community at the center of the discussion. The webinar highlighted how industry leaders are using their clout to shape legislation, champion communities they care about and hold the line on impact integrity and inclusion in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
