MIE’s Health Investors Gathering: Investing to Support Mental Health
Join Mission Investors Exchange (MIE) for an informal virtual gathering of health investor members on Wednesday, June 25 from 10:45 a.m.-Noon PT/1:45-3 p.m. ET to discuss investing in one of the most critical issues facing communities today: mental health.
Noelle St.Clair Lentz of Allivate Impact Capital, an impact investment firm that works across asset classes, will first provide an overview on the global mental health crisis, especially touching on the scarcity of investment in men’s mental health.
Then we’ll hear from Brittney Riley Gavani of Pivotal Ventures, a group of organizations founded by Melinda French Gates in 2015 to accelerate social progress and remove barriers for women – and all people – using high-impact investments and other tools. In the context of Pivotal’s direct investing portfolio, Brittney will share how Pivotal has been supporting adolescent mental health solutions for eight years.
We’ll also be in conversation with Erin Sietstra, of Hopelab, who will lay out how Hopelab plays a role as an investor, researcher and convener focused on advancing the mental health and well-being of all young people through a variety of investment strategies including Venture and other avenues of accelerating innovation.
Conversation Sparks:
- Brittney Riley Gavini, Director, Direct Investments, Pivotal Ventures
