Evaluation 24: Amplifying and Empowering Voices in Evaluation
MIE is proud to partner with the American Evaluation Association!
We are excited to partner with AEA’s social finance thematic interest group (Social Finance TIG) for a luncheon program on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024 in Portland. The Social Finance TIG is a volunteer group of American Evaluation Association (AEA) members who are interested in the topic of social impact measurement and management and exploring the interplay between the social and financial return of investments.
This gathering will focus on the landscape of placed-based community investment in the Pacific Northwest. We will hear about the current and future state of community-based investing in the Pacific Northwest, as well as the challenges faced in assessing the long-term impact of these investments. Evaluators, impact investors, social entrepreneurs, and impact measurement and management specialists are all warmly invited to attend and share their experiences and insights.
If you’ll be in Portland and are interested in joining us, reach out to Sommer Alex at [email protected] and our team will be in touch with details.
About the Event
The lack of engagement of new and emerging perspectives in the evaluation field threatens diversity, sustainability, and the evolution of evaluation. At Evaluation 2024, participate in uplifting these voices and encouraging evaluators at all stages in their careers to bring forth new ideas, practices, and creative approaches to evaluation.
The future is now. The next generation of evaluators are here, and their perspectives are vital to our success.
Evaluation 2024 will bring together new evaluators and established professionals to collaborate and create a stronger future together. Based in peer-to-peer learning, Evaluation 2024 will focus on mentoring those new to our field and elevating fresh perspectives throughout our community. Together we will foster an inclusive environment where all voices are valued. Working hand in hand, evaluators of all backgrounds and experiences will have a voice in shaping our future.
