Bush Foundation

The Bush Foundation invests in great ideas and the people who power them. We encourage people and communities to think bigger and think differently about what is possible across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and the 23 Native nations.Through our Community Innovation and Leadership programs, we invest in individuals and organizations working on issues that are important to their communities. We have three special focus areas - Native Nations, Education and Community Creativity - through which we build deep partnerships with individuals and organizations to advance specific goals for the region we serve.Established in 1953 by 3M executive Archibald Bush and his wife, Edyth, the Foundation has invested nearly $1 billion in more than 2,300 Fellows and Native Nation Rebuilders, and 1,700 grantees. Mission: To inspire and support creative problem solving – within and across sectors – to make our region better for everyone.
