Rockefeller Foundation Expands Environmental Bonds
The Rockefeller Foundation, a sustaining member of Mission Investors Exchange, announced an impact investment consistent with its climate mission to de-risk publicly issued environmental impact bonds for two municipalities. The foundation will underwrite $342,000 of the financing issued through Neighborly. More than a dozen cities have expressed interest in the bonds, which link an investor bonus or penalty to how well the underlying project works.
