Philanthropy and Climate Change
In a recent speech at the University of Oxford, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation President Larry Kramer called on philanthropy to “collaborate more and better” in combating climate change. He asks foundations to pool all their resources, financial and intellectual. Among his recommendations, foundations should step up their impact investing strategies by crafting finance vehicles and regulatory frameworks, connecting deals with investors, and reducing risks for private investors.
