Heron Announces Leadership Transition

Heron Foundation announced Dana Bezerra will be its new president, succeeding Clara Miller who is moving to an emerita role. Dana has been with Heron since 2006 and has been integral in developing its impact investing philosophy and practice. Specifically, Dana has been responsible for deal-sourcing, identifying and developing relationships across a spectrum of investors, syndicating capital when possible, and cultivating opportunities to deploy the full range of Heron’s “toolbox” (including grants, program-related investments, and market-rate mission-related investments). She’s also been a member of the Mission Investors Exchange Steering Committee. The transition is effective as of December 31, 2017.
