The Role and Opportunity
The Coordinator of Member Experience will provide project execution and administrative support for the Member Experience Team’s activities. Examples of Member Experience offerings include member gatherings, working groups, events, and select programming. The Coordinator will work with the Director of Member Experience to carry out duties related to team day-to-day project and operational functions.
This is an ideal remote opportunity for a professional that is seeking to gain exposure to impact investing, philanthropy, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
- Support tasks related to the membership prospecting cycle, from member prospect identification through cultivation, application, acceptance, and onboarding, including associated research and analysis
- Support execution efforts to achieve annual membership targets, including goals associated with new members, revenue, and retention.
- Support member orientation calls by scheduling, taking notes and coordinating follow-up
- Gather ongoing insights that will match members with appropriate resources, communications, and programming
- Research monthly member news through news media monitoring
- Coordinate the member inquiry process
- Support the scheduling and execution of member meetings, working groups, gatherings, and events
- Research potential new member prospects and partnership opportunities
- Execute special projects related to member experience as needed
- Routinely maintain accurate and up-to-date data in collaborative platforms like Salesforce, Asana, Slack, and Google documents
Administrative
- Carry out administrative functions essential to the Member Experience Team’s performance, including but not limited to scheduling team calls and meetings
- Support the Member Experience Team in handling routine inquiries and managing logistics for team-managed events
- Support the development of presentations, reports, and related materials
- Collaborate with fellow team members on finalizing executive, board, and member-facing documents
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of one to three years of professional experience.
- Customer/client focused mindset
- Project management, impact investing, events management, or relationship management and coordination experience preferred.
- Passion for addressing social and environmental challenges and an appreciation for the power of investment capital to play a catalytic role in this process
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, with an ability to execute against a work plan to deliver high-quality and timely outputs
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, along with diplomacy, tact, and good humor
- Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently
- Maintains an interest in seeking feedback and new information to strengthen own performance and that of team
- Ability to travel domestically if needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), Asana (or similar project management tool), and Slack (or a similar communication platform); technology systems and data visualization experience ideal
- Bachelor’s degree and advanced degree in a related field preferred
Compensation: MIE is committed to offering a competitive compensation package. The starting salary for this role ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 based on individualized factors, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The recruiting team is committed to sharing more details regarding compensation based on the candidate's individualized factors during the interview process. Benefits include paid time off and sick leave, 13 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) retirement plan with matching, along with other elective options. The role is an “at-will position” and MIE reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, MIE or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
