Application Deadline:

About the Role
Your primary role as a pre-investment Borrower Services Associate is to ensure potential deals move efficiently from when they show up in the top end of the funnel through the investment committee decision, delivering a fantastic experience throughout. You will push boundaries of mobilizing financial support for organizations empowering people of color, people on the move, women, veterans, LGBTQ, and others who have been overlooked or underestimated.
You recognize our financial system perpetuates poverty and needs to be transformed in order to eradicate it. You have a passion for quality customer service, and believe transparent communication strengthens partnerships. You can effectively communicate what Mission Driven Finance does and the available lending products to potential borrowers. You start the day running through mental (or digital!) checklists of different loan applications and prioritizing with and for your teammates what needs to be done to close transactions efficiently and effectively. You are equally comfortable reviewing and understanding spreadsheets, financial statements and corporate documents, and working in a supportive fashion with portfolio companies throughout their MDF journey. You enjoy providing high-touch experience with borrowers, addressing their questions and guiding them through our onboarding process, as well as proactively checking in to collect data to help us monitor their impact, performance, and compliance. You’re also familiar with customer service and look forward to helping borrowers through our software systems. When you see friction or identify bottlenecks slowing down processes, you take initiative to brainstorm and implement solutions.
