Virtual Learning Opportunity: Designing Your First Debt Program-Related Investment: A Low Interest Loan Case Study

Join the Barra Foundation and Conley Law Group to learn the difference between Program-Related Investments (PRIs) and Mission-Related Investments, as well as the story of one PRI that the Barra Foundation made in New Day Chester, Pennsylvania. Participants will learn the various steps involved in a debt-based PRI,  including the phases of due diligence, structuring and negotiating the transaction, and reporting and follow-up. Speakers will also share the legal and financial details of the New Day Chester PRI, various legal options available when developing a PRI and how Barra Foundation chose among them, as well as some of the softer details around Board and grantee conversations that facilitated a successful project.
