The ImPact is a US-based nonprofit organization with team members spread around the world. Currently, we have team members based in New York City, Atlanta, South Carolina, Santiago, Singapore, Lille, and Paris. 
 
 

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate to join the team. This is a full time position beginning immediately. This is a remote position, with  a strong preference for candidates either based in the New York City area or able to conveniently travel regularly to New York City. While we are a global team and much of our collaboration is done remotely, we also believe consistent in-person connection and collaboration is important - for team members’ professional growth and for effective work (product).  Our New York City-based team members work together twice a week at a coworking space. 
 
Expected base compensation for this role is between $65,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience and location. The ImPact offers a generous benefits package including health and dental insurance, 20-days paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan with an employer contribution match, and professional development budget for learning and training.
 
The Associate will report to the Senior Director. The Associate will support the coordination and  execution of The ImPact’s membership experiences, both virtually and in person (particularly in the US), and support the Senior Director in a number of coordination and synthesizing responsibilities relating to both membership and events. The Associate will also work closely with the broader ImPact team.
 

Key Responsibilities

   Communications & Events Support (50%)
  1. The Associate is responsible for a number of strategic and administrative activities to drive the development of The ImPact’s brand through marketing, communications, and event-related projects, including:
    • Develop and maintain essential communications assets for our member community
    • Produce and continue improving all public-facing communications, such as our member and non-member newsletter, and marketing materials.
    • Manage our impact.org website and member resources site, both content and branding
    • Partner with relevant teams to collaborate on communication needs, such as events communications, recruitment or member supported communications, etc. 
  2. The Associate will work closely with our Global Experiences Manager and Director of Experiences to support the creation and execution of our virtual and in-person events, including:
    • Craft and support event invitations and creation of Cvent event website
    • Proactively drive and support member engagement/attendance through Events comms
    • Develop and maintain essential communications assets related to our events
    • Support reporting and registration of ImPact in person and virtual events
  3. We will support the Associate to become expert on The ImPact’s “voice,” including: 
    • Play key role in partnership collaborations - be our brand ambassador, ensuring consistency and accuracy in our how The ImPact is portrayed in the public domain
    • Eventually, playing the role of go-to copy-editor for all staff and support editing of content for The ImPact’s educational tools and resources
   U.S. Community Management Support (40%)
  1. The Associate will work closely to support the Director of the US and the Senior Director to more effectively support existing members and recruit new members.  
    • Coordinate regional events in the US, identify event venues, proactively engage key stakeholders involved in the event management process
    • Supporting the development of a customized plan of membership for each individual member that will provide the experiences, best practices, and relationships to support them in making progress towards their impact goals - and tracking progress to goals. Supporting responses to inquiries and requests, scheduling engagements with members and prospects 
    • Assist in the maintenance of internal systems and drive day-to-day project management for US Community Managers.
   Project Management Support (10%)
  1. The Associate will support the Senior Director in a number of coordination and synthesizing responsibilities relating to both membership and events.
  2. As a member of The ImPact’s global team, you will take on additional responsibilities related to building and serving The ImPact’s member community. These additional responsibilities will be scoped according to your experience and skill set and the strategic priorities of The ImPact. 

Qualifications and requirements

  • Deep intellectual curiosity and interest in learning and growing are essential for success in this role.
  • Authentic interest in learning more about impact investing - to help families align their values with their investments (broadly defined)
  • 2-4 years of job experience - working in wealth management, investment management, or impact/philanthropy is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and collaboration skills
  • Strong  writer, proof-reader, and copy editor
  • Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse team and comfort working independently with remote team members across different time zones and using technology platforms. 
  • Work independently and have the drive, patience, and resilience to get up a rapid learning curve and to build things from scratch
  • Knack for creating efficiencies using systems integrations and technology.  Experience working with Google Apps, Salesforce, and Cvent is a plus.
