Mission Investors Exchange (MIE) is the leading impact investing network for foundations, philanthropic asset owners, and their partners dedicated to deploying capital for social and environmental change. The Role and Opportunity
The Coordinator of Programs will provide project execution and administrative support for the Programs Team’s offerings to MIE members. Examples of MIE offerings include virtual webinars, the National Conference, and the Mission Investing Institute. The Coordinator will work with the Director of Program Management to carry out duties related to team day-to-day program and operational functions.
This is an ideal remote opportunity for a professional that is seeking to gain exposure to impact investing, program development, and philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities
Programs and Events
- Support the implementation and execution of MIE programs, such as webinars, institutes, panels, and receptions
- Manage the program speaker invitation process, in coordination with the Programs Team and other MIE staff
- Coordinate the onboarding process for speakers, including scheduling of briefing calls and acquisition of speaker assets
- Support program content development, including background research on topics and potential speakers
- Research potential program topics, speakers, and resources as needed
- Research monthly field news through news media monitoring
- Execute special projects related to programs as needed
- Collaborate with other MIE teams members, as needed, on co-managed programs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in collaborative platforms like Salesforce, Asana, Slack, and Google documents
Administrative
- Carry out administrative functions essential to Programs Team’s performance
- Serve as liaison for the Programs Team, handling routine inquiries, and managing logistics for team-managed events
- Schedule meetings with high-level speakers and other sector leaders from the MIE network
- Support the development of presentations, reports, and related materials
- Collaborate with fellow team members on finalizing executive, board, and member-facing documents
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of one to three years of professional experience
- Project management, impact investing, events management, or program coordination experience preferred
- Experience in program coordination or development ideal
- Passion for addressing social and environmental challenges and an appreciation for the power of investment capital to play a catalytic role in this process

- Ability to travel domestically if needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), Asana (or similar project management tool), and Slack (or a similar communication platform); technology systems and data visualization experience ideal
- Bachelor’s degree and advanced degree in a related field preferred
Compensation: MIE is committed to offering a competitive compensation package. The starting salary for this role ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 based on individualized factors, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The recruiting team is committed to sharing more details regarding compensation based on the candidate's individualized factors during the interview process. Benefits include paid time off and sick leave, 13 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) retirement plan with matching, along with other elective options. The role is an “at-will position” and MIE reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, MIE or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
