Position Description

The Coordinator for Knowledge & Communications (Coordinator) will provide important administrative and execution support for MIE’s marketing and insights function, including email communications, social media, and support of conference content development. The Coordinator will report to the Chief Operating Officer and managed on a project-by-project basis by Senior Associates to carry out day-to-day needs and responsibilities.
 
Principal Responsibilities
Marketing
  • Coordinate across MIE teams to identify marketing and communications needs
  • Prepare marketing emails for release, including drafting emails, prepping content in our marketing platform, and stewarding the release
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the marketing strategies in reaching the target audience
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies that reach the intended target audience
Social Media & Media Monitoring
  • Develop daily and/or weekly posts across social media channels
  • Monitor member and field news, including investment examples, to highlight on social media
  • Summarize the most relevant media for inclusion on the MIE newsletter and website
Conference Content Coordinator
  • Coordinate the collection and development of blogs and investment spotlights for the 2022 National Conference
  • Support the development of new strategic content for the conference, including member highlights
  • Contribute to brainstorming and research on new potential content areas
Strategic Projects
  • Coordinate and execute strategic projects aligned with the objectives of MIE and the K&C team
  • Support planning for the long-term sustainability of project outcomes, if applicable
  • Measure, monitor, and report on the success of projects
Administrative Support
  • Perform timely updates and maintenance of the website as it relates to new programs, events, and resources
  • Carry out as-needed administrative functions essential to the performance of the K&C Team
  • Serve as liaison for the K&C Team, handling routine inquiries, and managing logistics for team-managed events

Candidate Qualifications

  • A minimum of one to three years of professional experience
  • Project coordination, marketing, social media, and writing experience is required
  • Knowledge of impact investing and related fields preferred
  • Passion for addressing social and environmental challenges and an appreciation for the power of investment capital to play a catalytic role in this process
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to execute against a workplan to deliver high-quality and timely outputs
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • Proactive, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who is a creative problem-solver
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer/client focused mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at the same time
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Eager to learn with an interest in seeking feedback and new information consistently to strengthen own performance and that of team
  • Experience with technical platforms such as Pardot and Drupal preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), and Asana (or similar project management tool)
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation

Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
