MIE Virtual Brown Bag #1: The US Affordable Housing Crisis and What You Can Do About It
Members Only Webinar: Log In for Registration Details and To View A Recording!
Housing is a foundational issue in any individual or family’s well-being. It affects health, education, social networks, and nearly every other aspect of their life. Yet building and preserving affordable housing is both costly and complex, replete with a variety of challenges. Foundations and other MIE members can make an immediate impact in this sector through advocacy, grants, and impact investing to create and preserve safe and affordable housing for low- and middle-income communities.
This inaugural 45-minute Virtual Brown Bag for MIE members, presented by Marc Rand, Managing Partner of Community Capital Advisors, explores successful examples of impact investments made in high cost geographies, across rural and urban America, to provide relevant models that foundations can use in designing their own strategy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, both during the registration process and live during the brown bag.
